Generic Alternative To Viagra?

Generic Viagra? We all probably know that there isn't a generic Viagra, but there is an option that is really similar and can save you lots of money. Viagra can be really expensive on any budget. All brand medications for erectile dysfunction are expensive for that matter. (Viagra, Levitra, Cialis, etc.)  Viagra is one of the most prescribed medications on the market today. So, how can we save money? Let's compare these two medications.

Viagra (Sildenafil):

What is it? According to Drugs.com: Viagra is used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) in men. Another brand of sildenafil is Revatio, which is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension and improve exercise capacity in men and women.

Average cost: $60-70 per tablet

Dosage: 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg

Revatio (Sildenafil):

Wait that is what Viagra is! Yes, although it is under a different brand name, it is still the same active chemical. Revatio has a commercially available generic though!

What is it? According to Drugs.com: Revatio (sildenafil) relaxes muscles found in the walls of blood vessels and increases blood flow to particular areas of the body.

Average cost: $1.50 per tablet (by using this discount card)

Dosage: 20mg

There is a lot of money savings that can be accomplished by having your doctor switch your prescription from Viagra to Revatio. Even if you were to take 5 tablets of Revatio (100mg) the cost would still be under eight dollars. That is much better than paying sixty dollars for just one tablet of Viagra.

Conclusion:  Have your doctor change your prescription for a medication that still works just as fine as the other one and save a lot of money in the process. I am sure you will not be disappointed with the results. So if Viagra has worked for you in the past then give this one a try.
